Operational Services, located at the FUSD Service Center, oversees
five major departments that provide key district-wide operational support. It provides management of district budgets in excess of $100 million and supervision of more than 700 employees.
The Operational Services office is responsible for the planning and execution of the $215 million in projects resulting from passage of the 1995 local General Obligation Bond (Measure A) and the $199 million in projects resulting from the passage of the 2001 local General Obligation Bond (Measure K).

The Facilities
Management and Planning Department coordinates both short
and long range facility needs assessments, develops plans,
and manages acquisition, new construction, reconstruction
and relocation of facilities. It is also responsible for
the collection of developer fees and preparation of enrollment
projections.

School Food and Nutrition Services mission is to provide the students of Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) with nutritionally sound meals to enhance their ability to learn. The Cafeteria Fund is a self-supporting fund for the Food Services Department, which provides meals under the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program, After School Snack, and Seamless Summer Waiver. The Food Services Department will continue to provide a safe environment that is conducive to learning. Food Services provides meals to 101 sites serving over 18,700 breakfast, 50,000 lunches, and 3,700 snacks each day. The Seamless Summer Waiver Program serves approximately 200,000 total meals, bringing the total to just over 14 million meals per year.

Purchasing Services, with a budget of $3.9 million, is responsible for the centralized procurement of all supplies, materials, equipment, services and construction projects funded through Fresno Unified School District. The Purchasing Services program budget includes costs of operation for the centralized warehouse, intradistrict mail service functions, and centralized funding for copiers and business equipment repairs.

The Transportation Department provides safe and efficient home-to-school transport for 14,000 students
daily. Additionally, it provides an average of 7,000 extracurricular trips each year.
