Eligible applicants include schools and organizations that plan to garden in 2011 with at least 15 children between the ages of 3-18. The top 30 entries will each receive a $500 gift certificate to the Gardening with Kids catalog, NGA's Eat a Rainbow Kit, and a literature package from NGA. -------------------- Youth Garden GrantsDeadline Date: 11/01/2010 Schools, youth groups, community centers, camps, clubs, treatment facilities, and intergenerational groups throughout the United States that plan to garden with youth ages 3 – 18 are eligible to apply for Home Depot and the National Gardening Association (NGA) Youth Garden Grants. The gardens provide an opportunity for students, teachers and parents to truly "grow" together. They have expanded the program and are now able to annually provide 24 grants for $1,200 each to schools throughout California (12 awarded twice a year).
