Traditional Bilingual Classes.

Ann Leavenworth is very proud of it's Bilingual Two-Way Immersion Program.  There are two, TWI classes in grades kindergarten through 3rd and then one class in grades 4th through 6th. In the TWI classes, students not only learn to become biliterate and bilingual, but they also gain a comprehensive understanding of both languages cultures and history.

Two-Way Immersion Clases:

     Students in these classes are learning to be bilingual - Spanish and English.  At the kindergarten level, half the class are Spanish-speaking children while the other half is English-speaking.  Students learn from each other, in addition to being taught by specially-trained and credentialed teachers.  Leavenworth uses the 90/10 Dual-Immersion Program. Spanish-speaking students receive English Language Development while English-speaking students receive Spanish Language Development.
