Mission Statement
Tioga is designed to foster and perpetuate the values necessary to maintain a free and democratic society and offer each student the educational opportunities needed to be a responsible and productive citizen. This will be done by developing, implementing, and providing programs that promote intellectual, emotional, and physical growth of all Tioga Middle School students.

MicroSociety Magnet Academy is Here!
MicroSociety is a new direction for Tioga. We will see lots of changes. Tioga will begin renovations this year and Tioga is now a magnet school. This year we will also introduce "The City of New Fresno."

What is "The City of New Fresno"? It is a place where students write the laws, enforce the laws, run their own businesses, earn Micro dollars and spend their money on their days off. Tioga has new technology to help students prepare for the careers of the future. And...there will be more adults on campus. Our program will draw news coverage and parents and business partners who will want to see our city in action. Behavior expectations will change as students behave in a business-like fashion. Training begins in the fall with Academy and when we are ready we will have a job fair where students sign up for their three choices of jobs. They will then be trained to do a job and then the real fun of running a real world begins.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Tioga! You are now in Tomahawk country and we look forward to getting to know all of or new 7th grade families. We also encourage our 8th grade families to return to campus this year for our school wide events. I am excited for the 2008-2009 school year, as we launch off our new magnet program, begin a remodeling project of our campus and double our AVID program of studies. All of these positive changes will benefit our students for years to come.

Sincerely,

We can all work together to make this a productive year for all of Tioga's students. As a way of demonstrating that commitment, we ask parents, students and staff to sign a Three Way Pledge.
