Mock Trial

The Fresno High School Mock Trial team competes every year in the County Mock Trial Competition sponsored by the Fresno County Office of education and the Constitutional Rights Foundation . This competition places students in the roles of Attorney, and witnesses. The goal is to provide students with an experience that demystifies the court system, and gives them an opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of the law.

Every year FHS fields a team of 9-20 students. The only requirement to participate is the willingness to commit the time for practices, good speaking and reading ability, and a sincere desire to be a character in a trial.

The team is open to 10-12 graders, however, if there are some Freshmen who want to participate, then they should e-mail Mr. Barron

Defense Team 2002

The typical competition season is from November to the middle of February. Each team competes using the same legal problem, and then has to face off in the courtroom.
