- Be a graduating high school senior, class of 2003
- Be of Hispanic heritage (one parent fully Hispanic or each
parent half Hispanic)
- Have a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or

Governor’s Scholarship:
The State of
California is awarding scholarships for students that have performed
extremely well on the standardized test SAT/9. To claim an award, you
must access the web-site:
www.scholarship.com or you can call 1-877-728-4338 if you have any
questions.
The
Vietnamese Physicians Assn. Of Northern California Scholarship:
Student
must be of Vietnamese descent with financial hardship, high school senior,
be attending college in summer or fall of 2002, have a GPA of 3.5 or
higher, and submit a completed application including one-page essay along
with official high school transcript & two letters of recommendation.

Industries Foundation Community Scholarship: High School juniors
must take the PSAT/NMSQT test. This test will be given in October 2001.
Winner will be selected from among students who plan to complete high
school in the year 2002 and enter an accredited U. S. college or
university in the year 2002 to pursue full-time study toward one of
traditional Bachelor’s degrees. Deadline: December 15, 2002.
The AYN RAND Essay Contest:
Contest is open to
all high school students. For 9th and 10th graders
Anthem essay must be no fewer than 600 and no more than 1200 words in

Saint Mary’s College of California, The
Presidential Scholars Scholarship Program: High school seniors must
complete Saint Mary’s College application for admission by February 1,
2002. An academic GPA of 3.8 and a combined SAT 1 score of 1350 or higher
or composite ACT score of 31 or higher.

Educational Office Professionals Scholarships:
High school senior, must have
maintained a “C” average or better in high school and a 3.0 or better in

and seniors that have a strong interest in marine science or technology.

The Fresno Madera Holstein Club Scholarship: Seniors
interested in pursuing dairy or dairy related careers at universities,
colleges, and community colleges in California. Must have a 2.5 GPA or
better. Activities, good citizenship, and financial need will be
considered. Two letters of recommendation must accompany application. A
personal interview may be necessary.

College Scholarship Competition: Ivy West is pleased
to offer a scholarship competition for students participating in the
2002-03 College Preparation Partnership Program. Students who meet all of
the stated requirements will be entered in a random drawing to win a
scholarship. Must attend class sessions, timely completion of all
homework, completion o pre-and post-test during the program, as well as,

Discover Card Tribute Award Scholarship:
Must be a current high school
junior with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 who excels in three out of
four areas: Special Talents, Leadership, Obstacles Overcome and Community
