AR Coordinator - Desktop Version |
The AR Coordinator is the administrator of the program. This person must have a good knowledge of computers and should know the Language Arts curriculum. The duties will include: |
Beginning of School Year:
- Enter all student data at the beginning of the school year (request a JRQ from Computer Operations which asks for Accelerated Reader info and includes which platform you need Mac or PC) You may see a sample JRQ on the intranet.
- Set school year dates and marking periods (every six weeks for year-round, every quarter for traditional)
- Create and edit classes
- Add new student information as needed
- Enroll the students into classes
- Set up passwords for each teacher for AR Management
- Duplicate classes from STAR to AR or AM (math)
- Assign Houghton Mifflin quizzes to classes (version 6.0 or above)
On-going:
- Clear all locks at least twice a week
- Print Schoolwide Summary Report for administrators - weekly
- Print Diagnostic Reports of each class for administrators
- Add and delete students
- Enroll/unenroll students into classes as needed
- Changing enrollment - moving students from one class to another
- Assist teachers with printing reports
- Back up data daily/weekly
- If teachers are creating AR quizzes, back up the quizzes weekly
- Call in CST (457-2600) to install new quizzes - request priority status for the CST
- Order quizzes on CD or if you download your quizzes from email, be sure to make a backup on CD for each order
End of School Year
- Promote all students
